Jeff Catlin
Jeff Catlin has spent his career in the automotive industry. He graduated from arguably the best automotive program in the country and is recognized as one of the Valley's top mechanics. Jeff currently spends his days running the shop at Legends Cadillac-Hummer-Saab in Scottsdale.
Jeff's mechanical expertise certainly gives him (and his teammates) an extra edge at the races. His 12 years of racing experience are also an added plus. Jeff began racing karts in Phoenix and has won various races locally. Seven years ago he began road racing. In 2002 he was the Southern Cali Karters 125 Road Race Champion. He twice placed 2nd at the Road Race Grand Nationals.
Also in 2002, Jeff became a ASA Speed Truck crew member. He joined a Southwest Tour team for the 2003-2004 season as a jackman. Then, in 2005 he was made car chief for a Speed Truck team. In 2006 he was promoted to crew chief, while he also worked as a car chief for a NASCAR Grand National Series team.
In 2006, Jeff made the commitment to driving in the ASA Speed Truck races and finished 7th and 9th. In 2007 Jeff raced the full season of Speedtruck and finished 10th in the championship missing one race due to work conflicts. He had some good runs during 07 with a 4th at Tucson and some promising moments during both the road races held in May. With a new season, an experienced crew, and the advance time to get every element in perfect order, Jeff is confident that 2008 will be a successful year for Catman Motorsports.
